Mazda CX-5 (12 - present)

Mazda started from scratch with the CX-5. Everything from the ground up is new; it doesn’t share its underpinnings with any other car. It was also Mazda’s first attempt at using lightweight components, materials and powertrains to increase efficiency. They call that SkyActiv technology. The CX-5 is a blend of many things; it drives like a sports car, has the off-road ability of an SUV, and the practicality of an MPV. It looks really well and shows what the marque can do. The cabin is among the most comfortable in its class. Everything is neatly laid out; dials and instruments are easy to read and use. It can seat five and there is a large boot. On the road, it is one of the best when it comes to drive and balance. The driving position is excellent (there’s plenty of adjustment).
